Comics aren't just about drawing characters and writing stories. There's about 7 different roles in comics. Come to this class to dabble and learn what letterer, publishers, editors, writers, artists, inkers, and colorists do! This is a crash course that moves fast, so don't miss out on how many other ways you can learn about the comic creation process.

Anime Your Way is a comprehensive step-by-step drawing program using simple shapes and easy to understand instructions developed over 10 years by former "The Simpsons" artist Carlos Nieto III. Learn how to create and modify an anime character from scratch, no matter what your drawing level is!

Stick figures and basic shapes are the foundation of making great characters. Learn a step by step process of how to build characters for your style in combining shapes and lines for movement.
2:30 p.m.: Creating Comics Digitally | Travis Hymel
Artist Travis Hymel (“Trailer Park Boys,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,” “Arkworld”) has worked with independent publishers such as Oni, Image, IDW, and Devils Due. Join him for a walkthrough how he creates comics -- such as his upcoming work from Titan Comics -- using modern digital processes, and explores what storytelling opportunities this opens up for creators.

Originally opening in 1966 as a three-room library within the Airport Annex building, the Clark County Library moved in 1967 to a storefront. In 1971, the library moved again to its current location using deeded land from the County and with money awarded by the Max C. Fleishman Foundation. The building went on to have two remodels: one completed in 1986, and the second completed in 1994, which resulted in the three-story, 120,000-square-foot building it is today. This redesign notably included a 399-seat theater and an 80-seat black box theater/dance studio. The Library District also added the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, which provides a place for teens to explore and master new technologies and digital skills.
