Join us for a day filled with Rock music, live open-mic readings, Guitar Hero, and a great book sale.
Windmill Library's Rock-n-Read event kicks off with live open-mic readings. Whether you are a beginner, or a seasoned writer of poetry, books, or songs, the mic is yours to tell your story. If you are too shy to read your own work, feel free to read someone else's. We do ask you to please limit your mic time to 5 minutes or less to give many writers a turn to read.
Did you ever wish to play in a Rock band? You can test your virtual Rockstar guitar skills on Guitar Hero and other musical video games.
Be sure to check out the pop-punk rock band lighting up the music scene - The Dollheads - in concert at 2:00pm. The sibling sensations have toured the UK, played Life is Beautiful, and the Punk Rock Bowling Music Festival. They are a must see!
We will also have crafting and a book sale with lots of great books at discounted prices. So bring some friends and have some fun.
Free and open to the public. All activities are first-come, first-served and may be limited. For more information call 702.507.6068.
