With more than 45 years in broadcasting and 36 years in Las Vegas, Nate dedicated to the community and says he is always looking for opportunities to make folks smile.
Nate has been named Best TV Weathercaster in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas” reader’s poll seven times. In addition to anchoring the 8NewsNow “Good Day” traffic reports, Nate is the host for several Vegas PBS shows including “Varsity Quiz,” “The Science Bowl,” and “The CCSD Middle School Spelling Bee.”
And if all of that wasn’t enough, Nate is also an accomplished flutist and enjoys playing the National Anthem at various sporting events including the local professional baseball and hockey games as well as the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Originally operating out of a storefront on Brush Street, the West Charleston Library opened in its current location in January 1993. This 38,900-square-foot building is located on the northeast corner of the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus. This location, which features a Digital Memory Preservation Lab, serves its student population and residents with over 67,000 volumes and features a 276-seat lecture hall.
