This chiptune band fuses synth-rock, pop, jazz, and video game melodies into a genre-bending soundtrack for pixelated adventures.
Check out Southern California's #1 Chiptune band and be blown back to a time of Game Boys and 8-bit brilliance. They played last year’s Life Is Beautiful and were featured prominently in the award-winning 2021 documentary Rarity: Retro Video Game Collecting in the Modern Era.
Armed with a 1989 Nintendo Gameboy and a passion for pixel-perfect sound, Decaying Tigers channels the tension, triumph, and wonder of classic games for this retro-inspired TeenTober event with live 8-bit music.
With melodies inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, their sound is a collision of crunchy beats, shimmering leads, and genre-bending grooves—all driven by vintage handheld hardware. From retro-inspired dance anthems to jazzy pixel interludes, they’re not just pressing buttons—they’re reprogramming your ears for joy.
Free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served, and may be limited.
