Always wanted to sew but never had the time to learn? Come to the mountain for a small, fun class with Miss Vivian! Bring your own machine or borrow one of ours.
Come join us as we learn to sew straight lines (and more!) with Miss Vivian. She has been sewing for more than 6 decades, and loves sharing her knowledge with the community. If you have a sewing machine, bring it! If you have fabric or thread, bring it! We do have a limited number of library machines available as well.
This class is for adults, and may involve the use of cutting implements and sharp objects such as sewing needles. While this class is free and open to the public, registration is required, and seating is limited to allow Miss Vivian time to work with each student. Please register online to ensure your space. Seating and machines are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, please call the library at 702.872.5585.

Buried in snow in the winter and cool during the hot days of summer, the Mount Charleston Library is located in Old Town, about 40 miles north of Las Vegas at an elevation of 7,200-feet. Opened in March 1987, the 2,800-square-foot facility houses 5,500 volumes and serves the beautiful community that surrounds it.
