Join us for a screening of the 1975 cult film, "Rocky Horror Picture Show" (R, 98 mins). Free, and open to the public!
Rocky Horror Picture Show is the very film that may have originated the concept of a "cult classic"! After dismal returns in its initial box office run, the movie found its following in midnight showings, and has been perpetually in theaters for the last 48 years, making it the longest running film in theatrical history.
This 1975 film follows the adventures of Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), a newlywed couple whose car breaks down in a rainstorm near a spooky castle. Seeking refuge in the castle from the storm, they encounter Dr. Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry), a mad scientist intent on creating the perfect man in his laboratory, and a madcap cast of characters that hail from a far-off planet in the galaxy of Transylvania!
Starring Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, Barry Bostwick, Meatloaf, Patricia Quinn, and Nell Campbell. The film also stars Richard O'Brien, who wrote the songs and script for both the movie and its source material, the 1973 stage production "The Rocky Horror Show".
Free and open to the public. Please call 702-507-3427 for more information.
Seating is based on a first-come, first serve basis.

Originally opening in 1966 as a three-room library within the Airport Annex building, the Clark County Library moved in 1967 to a storefront. In 1971, the library moved again to its current location using deeded land from the County and with money awarded by the Max C. Fleishman Foundation. The building went on to have two remodels: one completed in 1986, and the second completed in 1994, which resulted in the three-story, 120,000-square-foot building it is today. This redesign notably included a 399-seat theater and an 80-seat black box theater/dance studio. The Library District also added the Best Buy Teen Tech Center, which provides a place for teens to explore and master new technologies and digital skills.
