King Ibu, hailing from Senegal, brings his passion for music to audiences around the globe. His music is an exhilarating fusion of traditional West African folk sounds and contemporary arrangements. With an uplifting spiritual approach to storytelling, Ibu crafts an infectious backdrop of polyrhythms and joyful grooves.
His compositions blend contemporary textures with vibrant instrumentation, including vocals, guitars, and percussion. This creates an invigorating soundscape rich in polyrhythmic and joyful rhythms.
Ibu has performed with artists worldwide, including Becaye Aw from Norway, The Hard Road Trio from New Mexico, Dirk K from Germany, Kurt Rasmussen from Cirque du Soleil, and the legendary Carlos Santana. He has also shared the stage with renowned musicians such as Tim Weisberg, Poncho Sanchez, The Wailers, and Femi Kuti.
