Children in kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to create a new STEAM project every week in West Las Vegas Library's Robot Lab. This program is free and open to the public; a library card is not required to attend. Seating is limited and available on a first come, first serve basis. The West Las Vegas Library opened to the Historic Westside Neighborhood on D Street in 1973 before moving to its current location on Lake Mead Boulevard in January 1989. In addition to offering a 298-seat theater, the African American Special Collection, and a state-of-the-art robot lab, this 38,900-square-foot library houses 27,700 volumes and has become a prominent part of the community.
