in a setting that allows each participant to immediately “practice” a newly introduced skill. This
immediate reinforcement prepares youth for the transitional period from high school to
adulthood.

The mining town of Searchlight is located halfway between Las Vegas and Laughlin. The first library opened in 1969 and moved into a joint facility in July 1989. Constructed with funds from the Federal Block Grant, the 1,200-square-foot library houses over 4,600 volumes and shares a building with the Colorado River Food Bank and the Searchlight Museum.
