Embark on a journey into the digital realm with our free weekly computer class tailored for seniors at the West Las Vegas Library. This Class is designed to empower older adults with fundamental computer skills, fostering confidence and independence in the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Course Highlights:
Week One 03/06/24: Introduction to Computers:
Learn the basics of turning on and off a computer. Familiarize yourself with essential hardware components.
Week two 03/13/24: Keyboard and Mouse Mastery:
Gain hands-on experience in using the keyboard and mouse. Develop key typing and mouse navigation skills.
Week Three 03/20/24: Internet Navigation:
Navigate the World Wide Web with ease. Discover how to search for information and explore websites safely.

Email Essentials:
Learn the essentials of setting up and managing an email account. Practice sending and receiving emails, attaching files, and organizing your inbox.

The West Las Vegas Library opened to the Historic Westside Neighborhood on D Street in 1973 before moving to its current location on Lake Mead Boulevard in January 1989. In addition to offering a 298-seat theater, the African American Special Collection, and a state-of-the-art robot lab, this 38,900-square-foot library houses 27,700 volumes and has become a prominent part of the community.
