His festive music, including original holiday tunes, evoke the warmth and timelessness of classic Christmas music, creating a memorable, soulful holiday.
Eddie Wakes is an American jazz and soul vocalist celebrated for his velvety baritone voice and timeless interpretations of the Great American Songbook. Wakes' vocal style draws inspiration from legendary artists such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, and Ella Fitzgerald. His rich, wide-range baritone has garnered acclaim from notable figures in the entertainment industry. Director Damien Chazelle described his voice as "rich, delicate and effortlessly beautiful," while composer Justin Hurwitz praised him as a "consummate professional with a killer voice."
In 2025, Wakes released his debut album, "Street Singer," featuring collaborations with members of The Royal Crown Revue. The album includes the single "Beggar for the Blues," showcasing his ability to blend classic jazz elements with contemporary sensibilities. His live performances are noted for their emotional depth and technical precision, captivating audiences across the country.

Originally operating out of a storefront on Brush Street, the West Charleston Library opened in its current location in January 1993. This 38,900-square-foot building is located on the northeast corner of the College of Southern Nevada’s Charleston Campus. This location, which features a Digital Memory Preservation Lab, serves its student population and residents with over 67,000 volumes and features a 276-seat lecture hall.
