Discover the mesmerizing connection between the ocean and astronomy while engaging in solar observation through telescopes and solar glasses!
He's back! Join us at the Indian Springs Library with Francisco Silva, a NASA Solar System Ambassador and the Vice President for Educational Outreach at the Las Vegas Astronomical Society. Barring bad weather, Francisco will bring his solar telescope so we can look (safely!) at the sun! Regardless of weather, Francisco will entertain you with his knowledge about space and answer any questions you may have!
If we have good weather, this program will be on the lawn with limited seats available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please feel free to bring a blanket if you'd be more comfortable.
Free and open to the public. No registration is required. Please call the Indian Springs Library with any questions at 702.879.3845.

Combined with the Senior Center, the Indian Springs Library opened in its current facility in February 1987. This 1,200-square-foot library houses over 4,800 volumes and serves nearly 1,000 residents, most of which are military personnel and their families from the Nevada Test Site and Training Range.
