Join Nevada State Parks Staff and our Outreach Team as we celebrate the End of Summer (Break) and get ready to head back to school with a fun, free, STEAM ready kit to explore the great outdoors!

Join Las Vegas - Clark County Library District's Outreach Team and our hosts, Nevada State Parks, at Ice Age Fossils State Park for Extinction of Summer as summer break comes to an end!  We will have free Field Science Explorer Kits to get you started investigating, observing, and recording the natural world all around us.  Kits include a nature journaling starter set, sun print kit, fun activities and more!  One per person as supplies last, Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8 from 9:00am to 11:00am.  Nevada State Park Rangers and community organizations will be present to answer your questions and pique your curiosity about Nevada's Ancient Ice Age Past and present-day flora and fauna!

Admission to Ice Age Fossils State Park is $3 or free with a Nevada State Parks Pass from your local library.  More information on getting a Nevada State Parks Pass from your local library can be found below and here, at the Library District's page for Museums and Passes.

Check out a Nevada State Parks Pass from the library and gain FREE entry into all of Nevada’s 27 state parks.

Each pass covers the day-use entrance fee for one passenger vehicle with a capacity of up to 8 people.
Park fees may be assessed for boating, camping, or other specific fees including special programs or tours.
Library cardholders can check out the pass for a seven-day period from the Information desk at your local branch, subject to availability.
The Nevada State Parks Pass is valid at all 27 Nevada State Parks. The pass does not include federal, regional, or other public lands in Nevada that are not part the Nevada State Park system.
