Over and Under the Canyon is a wonderfully illustrated storybook about a mother and son exploring the Mojave Desert and encountering desert plants and animals on their hike. Set in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park in southern California, it features many familiar animals that also inhabit Red Rock Canyon and southern Nevada.
We will have free nature journals and colored pencil sets and Mother's Day Bookmark Take-and-Make Craft kits (while supplies last). Information about library resources and library card sign-ups will also be available.

Red Spring Boardwalk is a 0.5 mile roundtrip path on an elevated boardwalk that explores the Red Spring meadow in the Calico Basin area near Red Rock Canyon. Parking and restrooms are available. Red Spring Picnic Area and Red Spring Boardwalk Trail are outside of the Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop Fee Area - no reservations or fees are required.
